Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (continental shift: 2 days, 2 nights) Role Overview: We are looking for a capable and detail-oriented Equipment Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and reliability of MOVPE reactors and associated systems. Your main goal will be to reduce equipment downtime and minimize production disruptions by performing preventative maintenance and repairs during shift operations. Primary Responsibilities: Carry out routine preventative maintenance on MOVPE reactors and related equipment to ensure continuous and efficient operation. Support maintenance activities involving exhaust systems, filter changes, and gas cylinder replacements using Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA). Maintain the physical fitness required to wear SCBA and pass a lung function test; a clean-shaven face is necessary for proper mask fitting. Conduct electrical Portable Appliance Testing (PAT); training will be provided. Handle, store, and dispose of chemicals, gases, and spare parts safely, including during chemical fills and deliveries. Prepare for and execute maintenance and system cleaning tasks. Assist in diagnosing and repairing processing and support equipment. Participate in engineering projects and lead assigned initiatives as appropriate. Work independently while following documented procedures with minimal supervision. Contribute to logistics operations such as moving equipment, reorganizing cleanroom areas, and shipping parts. Promote cross-functional collaboration and teamwork throughout the organization. Key Skills & Requirements: Self-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Background in maintenance or engineering, particularly within the semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or related industries. Technical understanding or qualifications in any of the following: Pneumatic, gas, and vacuum systems Electrical systems Mechanical systems and maintenance Automation Comfortable using SCBA equipment and meeting related physical requirements. Basic electrical safety knowledge is essential. Flexibility to work additional hours during shutdowns or intensive maintenance periods. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English. Forklift operation ability (training provided). Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
