Resident MEP Project Engineer
Location: Stansted Airport
Contract: Fixed-term (31/08/26) | Hours: 40 per week (minimum 3 days on site)
Rate: £50/hr (inside IR35)
Role Overview:
We are seeking experienced Resident MEP Project Engineers to support the delivery of multiple fit-out and infrastructure projects from design through to on-site execution. The role offers the opportunity to work within a fast-paced, operational environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered to time, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support project delivery from design stage through to site implementation.
* Manage and coordinate contractor drawing submissions and SME reviews via document control systems such as Aconex.
* Track and ensure timely close-out of design comments.
* Lead design management activities, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
* Review and respond to technical queries relating to contractor designs.
* Collaborate closely with project teams and stakeholders to maintain momentum and quality.
Requirements:
* HNC or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services or related discipline.
* Proven experience in fit-out projects, ideally within aviation, transport, or similarly complex operational environments.
* Strong understanding of design coordination and document control systems.
* Ability to manage technical reviews and resolve design-related queries.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Willingness to be based on-site at Stansted Airport up to three days per week.
