We have a fantastic opportunity within the Consolidation & Control team, part of our Financial Control function, responsible for Virgin Money UK's consolidated financial reporting and reporting to our parent, Nationwide.
This team ensures the smooth operation of the financial month-end process, delivering accurate and reliable financial results to internal and external stakeholders. If you are passionate about numbers and control, and eager to improve banking, this role is for you.

What you’ll be doing
* Generating accurate and timely management results for the VMUK Group each month.
* Producing financial analysis of results as required.
* Assisting with monthly ECL journals and reporting.
* Supporting hierarchy maintenance at VMUK Group and NBS level and related reporting outputs.
* Providing relevant financial data for effective management and decision-making.
* Collaborating with stakeholders to drive process improvements.
We need you to have
* An accounting qualification / partly qualified or working towards one.
* Strong skills in financial analysis, interpretation of results, metrics, and trends.
* Advanced Excel skills.
* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
* Proven stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.
* Initiative and drive to achieve goals and meet expectations.
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential
* Experience in ECL reporting.
* Knowledge of VMUK PLC organization to develop stakeholder relationships.
* Knowledge of financial systems like Oracle and Microsoft packages.
