We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Scientist (Blood Transfusion) to support recruitment efforts and assist with an upcoming UKAS inspection. The ideal candidate will have management experience, extensive BT knowledge, and prior involvement in UKAS accreditation processes.
Key Responsibilities
The role involves overseeing blood transfusion services, ensuring compliance with UKAS accreditation standards, and providing strong leadership within the department. The candidate will assist in preparing for UKAS inspections, ensuring all documentation and protocols meet regulatory requirements while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to maintain high-quality patient care. Additionally, maintaining adherence to NHS guidelines and laboratory best practices is essential.
Qualifications & Experience
* HCPC registration (essential).
* Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
* Proven management experience in a blood transfusion setting.
* Prior involvement in UKAS inspections (highly desirable).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
