Locum Biomedical Scientists required in Liverpool
We are seeking dedicated Biomedical Scientists to join the MedicsPro Team! The successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory activities at one of our clients' busy NHS Hospitals in Liverpool.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform, interpret, and validate a wide range of investigations in line with laboratory
* protocols.
* Operate and maintain complex laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with quality
* standards and Health & Safety policies.
* Contribute to the training, mentoring, and supervision of junior staff.
* Support the implementation of new techniques, procedures, and service improvements.
* Accurately record, analyse, and report results using LIMS and other relevant systems.
* Participate in Rota duties, including out-of-hours, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
Qualifications:
* HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
* Strong experience in molecular biology techniques, including nucleic acid extraction, nucleic
* acid sequencing NGS and PCR/qPCR.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Previous NHS experience in a laboratory setting
* Familiarity with laboratory information management systems is advantageous.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Job Types: Full-Time, Temporary
Contract length: 12 months
