An opportunity has arisen to join our friendly reception team to work 20 hours (3 days per week, Tuesday Wednesday Thursday & Friday). We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic, IT confident, flexible and who enjoy a challenge. Someone who has previously worked within a busy patient/customer centred environment would be ideal. Knowledge of EMIS Web is preferred but not essential. Full training and support will be given.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POST:
To provide a point of contact for patients and act as a focal point of communication between patients, doctors, and other clinical and non-clinical staff in a professional, efficient and courteous manner. To support medical and nursing staff as required taking a proactive approach.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POST:
* Dealing with complex telephone queries and taking messages for members of the team.
* Dealing with patients face to face at the reception desk.
* Updating and maintaining accurate IT records for patients.
* Taking messages for the doctors and dealing with replies, efficiently and in an appropriate manner.
* Working with other Reception team members to process tasks and document queries from the clinicians to our patients.
* Ensuring building security as necessary at the beginning and or end of the day.
* Attending meetings and training sessions as necessary in order to keep skills up to date.
* To maintain patient and staff confidentiality at all times adhering to Practice guidelines/policies/protocols.
