If so, Academics is currently recruiting for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with ALN (Additional Learning Needs) in a Cwmbran primary school.
Responsibilities
* Providing 1:1 support for a Key Stage 1 pupil with specific learning needs
* Supporting the child with daily classroom activities, including literacy and numeracy
* Implementing personalised strategies to aid academic and emotional development
* Building a strong and trusting relationship with the pupil
* Working closely with the class teacher and parents to monitor and report progress

Requirements
* Experience working in a SEN setting (essential)
* Previous experience supporting ALN pupils 1:1 (desirable)
* Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or willing to apply through us)
* Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) (we can support with this)
* Two recent and relevant professional references
