What's involved with this role: QAD 1756/2404 Role: Senior EC&I Design Engineer - Electrical, Command & Control & Instrumentation Contract Length: Anticipated 18 months Location: Reading, 100% on site Pay Rate: Competitive Market Rate An Engineer is required to provide designs ensuring that utilities, infrastructure, engineering processes, equipment and facilities are compliant with legislation, standards and requirements associated with engineering design throughout the facility lifecycle. The role is to ensure configured baseline design is maintained and updated during the phase out of Construction/installation into commissioning. You will support Site Technical Queries through the installation phase of the project, and support with clashes or design changes Key Accountabilities: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislative documentation / standards associated with design engineering. Application of knowledge to confirm designs are prepared which comply with relevant legislation, standards and requirements. Ensure the design intent is maintained throughout the lifecycle. Ensure application of standards is proportionate and that engineering best practice is adopted. Review and check Design Engineers work.
