About the role
In this key position, you will play a leading role in delivering our fleet and mechanical equipment replacement programme, ensuring alignment with our asset management strategy. You’ll support the renewal, review, and use of procurement frameworks—as well as other compliant procurement routes—while balancing current and future budget pressures and operational demands.
Your day‑to‑day work will be varied and hands‑on. You may be developing specifications for new plant, running procurement exercises, inducting new assets into service, or coordinating the decommissioning of those at end of life. You’ll work closely with customers to identify solutions through vehicles and mechanical equipment, liaise with suppliers, explore innovations in sustainable fleet and plant technology, and support the Asset Replacement Manager in ensuring the fleet operates safely, efficiently, and compliantly.
