A leading contractor based in Crewe is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a Term Maintenance Contract specialising in Highways maintenance

Important
Our client, a leading organisation in the Highways sector, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial Team. In collaboration with Design and Road Safety Teams, the successful candidate will manage the full life cycle of design-build schemes delivered under Options A, C, and E of the NEC3 Term Service Contract. This role requires meticulous planning, cost management, and effective communication to ensure timely and budget-friendly project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports
* Conduct risk, value management, and cost control
* Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams for successful project delivery
* Monitor project progress and manage change effectively
* Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
* Evaluate completed work and arrange payments to contractors
* Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes
Job Requirements:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
* Experience with NEC3/4 or similar construction contracts
* Strong analytical and negotiation skills
* Proficiency in cost management
* UK driving licence
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Person Specification:
* Good communicator in all mediums and at all levels
* Understanding of health and safety and its impact on the workplace
* Organised and deadline-oriented
* Analytical and numerical with strong attention to detail
