JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Purchasing administrator

Function: General Administration Location: Blackburn

Team: Supply chain Salary: Competitive depending on experience

The Role

GFW Ltd. supplies furniture to some of the most prominent retail brands in the UK. It is a dynamic business using some of the most sophisticated systems in the sector.

This is a full-time junior role within a small supply chain department. This role will require the successful candidate to build a comprehensive knowledge of the current products, customers and suppliers. Whilst the role is covering maternity leave, the company has been expanding rapidly in recent years and opportunities beyond this period would be likely.

The company drives its business through the analysis and use of data; therefore, this role requires excellent attention to detail, accuracy and appetite to work within the Sage 200 ERP system.

The successful candidate is expected to be flexible and adaptable to carry out routine and non-routine administrative and support tasks to meet the requirements of the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Raising purchase orders
* Checking Supplier shipping documents
* Purchase order checking and updating (with landed costs)
* Preparing delivery schedule and paperwork for the warehouse
* General administration duties within (but not limited to) the Supply Chain Department
* Customer stock reporting and allocations
* Ensuring Sage 200 is accurately maintained
* New product setup on GFW business platforms

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

* Internal colleagues
* Suppliers
* Occasional customer interaction
* Freight forwarders

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

* Educated GCSE level
* Good all-round IT skills including MS Office
* Experience with ERP systems (Sage 200) desirable although not essential
* Good Organisational ability
* Pays attention to detail - essential
* Numerate and literate

HOURS OF WORK

* 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £24,420.00 per year
