This role involves delivering high‑quality assessment and intervention for adults with communication and swallowing needs within an acute inpatient environment.</p><p>The successful clinician will work autonomously, managing a varied caseload and contributing specialist expertise to the wider multidisciplinary team.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Provide specialist assessment and treatment for adults with communication impairments and dysphagia</li><li>Work across acute inpatient wards, supporting patients with complex medical presentations</li><li>Collaborate with families, carers, and MDT colleagues to deliver patient‑centred care</li><li>Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation</li><li>Contribute to safe discharge planning and continuity of care</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Speech and Language Therapy degree recognised in the UK</li><li>HCPC‑registered Speech & Language Therapist</li><li>RCSLT membership</li><li>Experience working with an adult acute inpatient caseload (NHS experience not essential)</li><li>Must be a car driver or have reliable transport around the Borough</li><li>Ideally mask‑fit tested (can be arranged on arrival if needed)</li></ul></div>
