Senior Electrical & Control Systems Engineer

Their custom-built solutions include laser-cutting systems, automation platforms, laser-cut parts, and stencils, used across aerospace, medical, defence, and automotive sectors.
As Tannlin's Senior Electrical & Control Systems Engineer, you’ll:
Lead the design and development of electrical control systems for advanced laser and automation platforms.
Define system architecture and integrate robotics, safety systems, and PLCs.
Oversee technical reviews, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Collaborate with global stakeholders and contribute to strategic planning and product roadmap development.
Author and review high-level technical documentation and support testing and commissioning.
7+ years’ experience in electrical/control systems engineering within high-tech manufacturing.
~ Strong PLC programming skills (Beckhoff or Siemens preferred).
~ Proficiency in electrical CAD and 3D mechanical CAD tools.
~ Experience delivering complex automation or laser-based systems.
~ A BEng or MEng in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar.
~ Ability to reasonably commute to Prestwick and travel internationally when required.
