Salary: £36,000 pa
Location: Office based in Bradford with a need for site visits and meetings across the Aire catchment.
This is a full time role, fixed term to 31/03/2027.
Are you passionate about environmental conservation and project management? The Aire Rivers Trust is seeking a dynamic and proactive Project Manager to lead our transformative river enhancement projects and drive positive change within the Aire catchment area.
About Us
We are dedicated to the improvement and preservation of the river Aire and its tributaries. We work closely with stakeholders, including government bodies, local authorities, and community organisations, to deliver impactful projects that enhance biodiversity, improve water quality, increase access and engagement, and reduce barriers to fish passage.
The Role
As the Project Manager for River Enhancement, you will oversee the delivery and management of key projects which focus on improving habitats, addressing water quality and removing barriers to fish passage. This is a leadership role requiring expertise in project management, environmental science and stakeholder engagement.

Who You Are
We’re looking for someone with:
* Proven experience in project management, ideally within environmental conservation or infrastructure projects.
* Expertise in planning permissions, BNG OR NFM OR geological work related to managing weirs.
* Strong skills in bid writing, business development, and securing funding.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for engaging stakeholders.
* Leadership experience and ability to manage teams effectively.
* Desirable: A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field. Knowledge of the Aire Catchment is a plus.
