to co-lead a dynamic department that champions inclusive education and ensures every pupil is supported to thrive. This is a key leadership role that combines strategic vision with hands-on collaboration across the College. The successful candidate will join us in
January or April 2026, depending on availability. About the Role Academic support at Wellington is about unlocking potential, fostering confidence, and ensuring every pupil's journey is understood and celebrated. Working alongside a committed team, this role involves delivering high-quality, research-informed interventions and championing best practice in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Collaboration, compassion and innovation are at the heart of this work, helping to shape a learning environment where every individual can thrive. You'll collaborate closely with academic staff, Housemasters/mistresses, tutors, parents and external professionals to ensure a joined-up approach to pupil support. From mentoring colleagues and modelling inclusive teaching strategies, to overseeing assessments and access arrangements, your leadership will help shape a culture of excellence and compassion. This is a strategic and people-focused role that requires initiative, emotional intelligence, and a deep understanding of SEND.
