The role
Junior Operations Analysts reside in the Command Centre providing round‑the‑clock Level 1/2 infrastructure monitoring support for all Kingfisher banners. The role is a key part of the incident management process, responsible for accurately identifying and reporting issues on live service applications and performing initial problem determination and recovery before escalation to specialised teams.
Responsibilities
* Work 12‑hour shifts (24/7/365) managing IT services in accordance with Kingfisher operational policies.
* Monitor production services for Kingfisher PLC operating companies.
* Identify, report and resolve production incidents following agreed procedures.
* Coordinate resolution of complex incidents by working closely with technical support staff.
* Build effective relationships with colleagues to ensure seamless implementation of Command Centre responsibilities.
* Shift timings: Days 07:30–19:30, Nights 19:30–07:30.
* Take advantage of overtime opportunities arising from holidays, shift absences or workload.
Shift Details

Required Skills & Experience
* IT‑related College/University qualification.
* Experience in IT and/or retail is beneficial.
* Good understanding of Microsoft tools (Excel, Word).
Personal Specification
* Knowledge of IT software tools (e.g., Microsoft Windows, MS Excel).
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to learn new skills quickly.
* Self‑motivated, able to work effectively under pressure.
* Team‑player with strong organisational and time‑management skills.
* Interest in retail and evolving customer needs, particularly online.
* Reliable and conscientious.
Qualifications
* Excellent GCSE grades, with emphasis in English & Maths.
* An IT‑related qualification is advantageous.
