Overview
We are seeking a skilled Metal Worker to join our team at Willow valley engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks related to the fabrication and assembly of metal components mainly but not limited to the food industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge and experience with hand tools, welding, and sheet metal work, pattern development etc. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Works are also not limited to sheet metal work where the right candidate is able to showcase more.
Responsibilities
* Fabricate metal components in mild, stainless and aluminium according to specifications and drawings such as square to rounds, chutes, hoppers, cones, bracketry etc
* Perform grinding and welding tasks to ensure high-quality finishes
* Utilise hand tools and machinery for shaping, cutting, and assembling metal parts
* Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
* Assist in tooling setup and adjustments as needed
Requirements
* Proven experience in metal fabrication, tig/mig welding and also pattern develomoment
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read drawings
* Proficiency in working with sheet metal and various hand tools
* Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
* Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
* Willingness to learn new techniques and processes as required

Pay: £16.00-£20.00 per hour
