We Have an Exciting Opportunity for a Health & Safety Advisor
Join one of the fastest growing principal contractors in the UK construction industry! We are seeking a passionate Health & Safety professional to support our in-house Health & Safety Manager.
Key Requirements:
- NEBOSH National Construction Certificate (or working towards it), ideally with Level 6 in Occupational Health & Safety Practice
- Experience in a similar health and safety role within the construction industry
- Commitment to proactively develop as an H&S professional through training and continuing professional development
- Ability to engage and communicate effectively with employees, managers, and contractors
- Self-motivated, tenacious and able to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment
- Approachable with ability to work supportively/collaboratively
- Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office
- Well organized, professional and able to work under pressure
- Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines and pay attention to detail
- Good understanding of legal requirements and compliance
- Full valid driving license
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the H&S Manager in developing, implementing, maintaining and improving the H&S management system
- Review risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work
- Conduct site H&S inspections, identify issues, and produce reports with recommendations using I Auditor software
- Willingness to travel regularly to construction sites nationwide, including overnight stays
- Manage accident/incident reporting and associated paperwork
- Attend H&S meetings and present reports/data analysis to senior management
- Undertake other ad hoc duties to support the H&S Manager and Directors as required
