An exciting opportunity has arisen for staff looking to progress their career and become a Clinical Team Educator in the North East area of SCAS for Wexham RC.
This advert is recruiting for one substantive CTE post.

The Clinical Team Educator role is a pivotal position in the development of the area’s existing operational staff of all grades and visiting students, being responsible for their clinical supervision and professional development while liaising and working alongside the Education Department. You will become a key player as part of the area management team that will help to demonstrate and champion the behaviours linked to the key values of: Team Working, Caring, Innovation and Professionalism.
Candidates who successfully pass the interview but do not secure a position will be added to a reserve list for 6 months. If a new vacancy in the node is then added to Trac for approval, then this position can be offered to candidates on the reserve list.
Candidates who meet some of the criteria maybe a offered a secondment for a maximum of six months enabling them to demonstrate their suitability for a role before progressing to a substantive position.
Main duties of the job
You must be qualified as a HCPC Registered Paramedic, working at Band 6 level, or NMC Nurse.
You must be a team player, accept responsibility and be a confident decision maker. You must be passionate in the development of newly trained staff and the maintenance of excellent standards. You will possess good interpersonal and communications skills. You will need to be competent in basic IT and capable of logical thinking, practical problem-solving, objective assessment skills and report writing. You must also be able to motivate and support others.

Corporate Induction
It’s really important for us to ensure you have the best onboarding experience which allows you to feel a sense of belonging from the start. To help with this, we will book your Corporate Induction as soon as we possibly can (depending on availability).
All new starters need to attend our *Corporate Induction in person, this is held over one and half days from our educational centres based in: Newbury (Berkshire), Bicester (Oxfordshire) or Whiteley (Hampshire). More specific details will be sent to you once your start date has been confirmed.

Qualifications and Education
Essential criteria
* Professional Registration qualification: HCPC or NMC. (2 years post registration experience including preceptorship training and Newly Qualified Paramedic (NQP) period)
* IHCD or FutureQuals Emergency Response Driving qualification
* Completion of a HEI accredited mentorship module (QCF Level 5/6) or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
* Relevant Human Resources courses
* Degree Level or working toward (within three years)
* Associated teaching/mentoring qualification e.g. IHCD Instructors, PTLLS, DETLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE, etc.
* A recognised Management Qualification e.g. ILM etc
* • A recognised Training / Assessing qualification e.g. Award in Education and Training, Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement etc
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
* Significant operational experience as a qualified Paramedic and/or Nurse. You must have completion of the 2 year NQP programme requirements if your first entry on to the HCPC registered was post September 2016
* Proven ability to lead, motivate and inspire others, commanding the confidence of managers, staff and other health care professionals and by developing a strong ethos of team working
* Demonstrates an excellent working knowledge of all clinical and technical procedures appropriate to this role
* Good knowledge of the professional clinical guidelines and codes of conduct appropriate to this role and of the policies, procedures, guidelines and protocols relevant to this post
* Experience of peer mentoring
* Demonstrates a good understanding of the mechanisms used to identify training needs in the individual
* Good working knowledge of the current legislation relevant to this post
* Working knowledge of Clinical Audit relevant to this post
* Respects and applies patient confidentiality at all times
* Displays good diplomatic skills, is tactful and discreet
* Able to evidence Continued Personal Professional Development and commitment to personal quality standards and personal development – e.g. KSF portfolio, HPC portfolio / HPC Standards of Proficiency
* Demonstrable experience of developing, supporting and motivating individuals and a team in a similar working environment
Desirable criteria
* Previous experience of clinical supervision or practice facilitation
* Experience of using a variety of IT software including Microsoft windows
* Knowledge of National Health Service Framework issues
* Good understanding of Ambulance Service National standards and outcome measures
