Are you an education expert? We are currently seeking an experienced SEMH (Special Educational Needs and Mental Health) science teacher for a permanent full-time post in Kingston Lewes, East Sussex. Available immediately or October 2025.
About the role
If you have experience teaching Science with SEND (SEMH) across primary or secondary, this permanent role provides specialist education and support to young people with social, emotional, cognitive and sensorial needs. All pupils have an Education Health Care Plan. The site is part of a national trust focused on complex behaviours and needs.
Location and ethos
The site is a mile from Lewes, 7 miles from the south coast and the city of Brighton. The trust works with pupils who have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences to develop self-belief and effective learning.
Requirements
* A relevant UK-based teaching (Science) and/or leadership qualification.
* Substantial experience working with pupils with SEND within an education setting.
* All required documents for safer recruitment: valid right to work proof and a valid Enhanced DBS.
* Exceptional references.

Proposed terms
Proposed start date: Immediately or October 2025
Salary: Typically £35,000 to £45,000 (negotiable)
