Full job description
We are seeking someone with a strong background in operational management within social care, who understands how to use audits and self-assessments to evaluate and improve quality. You will be flexible, proactive, and committed to working collaboratively across the organisation.
Role and Responsibilities
Lead proactive quality audits and assurance monitoring across designated services
Mentor and coach Managers to achieve and sustain excellent service standards
Conduct responsive audits and spot checks based on performance data and intelligence
Identify trends and themes, develop action plans, and celebrate innovation
Collaborate with individuals we support and their families/carers to co-design quality checks
Produce high-quality reports that capture learning and drive improvement
Independently validate regulatory and improvement action plans
Support operational teams to close open actions and embed new systems
Deliver at least two quality audits per service annually
Host weekly Quality Improvement Calls for services requiring enhanced support
Champion a culture of inclusion, co-production, and continuous learning
Experience
The ideal candidate will bring strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, along with a confident and approachable communication style. They will be QCF Level 3 qualified with at least 2 years experience of working in the care sector. They will be assertive, able to have difficult conversations and be self-sufficient. In addition, we are looking for candidates who have the following skills and experience:
Proven experience in operational management and quality assurance
In-depth knowledge of social care regulations, legislation, and best practices
Skilled in conducting audits and developing evidence-based improvement plans
Strong leadership and coaching abilities
Excellent verbal, written, and IT communication skills
Willingness to travel and work flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours support
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
