Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Bank Care and Support Assistant at our CQC Registered, Learning & Physical Disabilities Service, Tollemache Respite Service.
We specialise in delivering a wide range of personalised housing, care, and support services to help people across England live as independently as possible. We are a national, not-for-profit organisation committed to putting our customers at the heart of what we do and supporting them on their pathways to independence.
Role Overview
The Care and Support Assistant will be responsible for:
1. Delivering sensitive care and expert support to our customers.
2. Encouraging resident integration and inclusion into the community.
3. Promoting a positive culture by engaging with residents to prevent social isolation.
4. Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments.
5. Managing and implementing safeguarding principles to ensure customer safety.
6. Sleep-ins (as required).
7. General cleaning and cooking.
8. Keeping accurate and up-to-date records.
Skills and Experience
Ideal candidates will have:
1. A personalised approach to care, with experience in a similar role preferred.
2. Enthusiasm, flexibility, and a strong “can-do” attitude.
3. Strong organisational skills, functional literacy, and numeracy.
4. The ability to react quickly to changing priorities while working to deadlines.
5. NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards it.
