Randstad Education is currently seeking passionate and creative Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistants to join our outstanding supply team in Leeds. The Role
As a supply EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will spend your days in Nursery and Reception classrooms, supporting children at the very start of their educational journeys. This role gives you the freedom to choose your own schedule while keeping your skills sharp in a dynamic, fun environment.
What you will be doing:
* Phonics Lead: Running small group activities and 1:1 interventions using core phonics schemes to build early reading and communication skills.
* Child-Led Learning: Supporting indoor and outdoor continuous provision, encouraging children to learn through play and exploration.
* Classroom Partnership: Working hand-in-hand with class teachers to manage daily routines, track developmental milestones, and keep the environment safe and inviting.
What We Need From You
To excel in this role and match our schools' safety standards, you must meet the following criteria:
* UK Classroom Experience: You must have previous UK experience working within an early years setting, nursery, or primary school classroom.
* Phonics Practice: Practical experience using early reading frameworks (such as Read Write Inc., Jolly Phonics, or Letters and Sounds).
* Nurturing Nature: A warm, patient, and highly adaptable approach to working with young learners.
* Compliance: A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or the willingness to undergo a new check through Randstad.
