Alexander Daniels are working with an established Accountancy Practice who are recruiting for a detail orientated Bookkeeper on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality bookkeeping and financial support to clients, working closely with accountants and client managers.
Responsibilities
* Perform day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
* Process sales, purchase, and general ledger entries
* Bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations
* Prepare and submit VAT returns
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records
* Liaise with clients regarding queries and requests for information
* Support the preparation of management accounts and year-end accounts
* Work collaboratively with other team members to meet deadlines
Requirements
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar bookkeeping role, preferably within an accountancy practice
* Strong working knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong communication and client-facing skills
* Ability to manage multiple client deadlines effectively
