TP Tutors is seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable Maths Tutors to deliver high-quality, tailored tuition across Nottinghamshire. If you have a passion for teaching and helping learners overcome challenges with maths, this role offers the chance to make a real impact.
The Role
You will provide personalised maths tuition to learners who require additional support, either on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. Sessions may take place in students’ homes, schools, or community venues. Lessons will be adapted to meet each learner’s needs, with a focus on building confidence, closing gaps, and preparing for exams.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging maths tuition from KS2 to KS4 (including GCSE)
* Adapt teaching to suit a range of learning styles and abilities
* Break down complex concepts in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and problem-solving
* Track progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
* Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies
What We’re Looking For
* Strong knowledge of the maths curriculum (KS2–KS4, ideally GCSE)
* Previous teaching or tutoring experience (SEND/SEMH experience desirable)
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A flexible, patient, and empathetic approach to teaching
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Current safeguarding training
