Job Title: Specialist Maths & English SEN Tutor (Part-Time)

Our Specialist Maths & English SEN Tutors play a crucial role in supporting students with complex Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them re-engage with learning and build confidence across core subjects.
We work with learners with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), and those working significantly below age-related expectations. Every student requires a personalised approach, and we value tutors who can adapt creatively and patiently.
This is a flexible, part-time opportunity starting after the Easter half term, ideal for tutors looking to make a meaningful impact alongside other commitments.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver tailored one-to-one Maths and English sessions to students with SEN.
* Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs, abilities, and EHCP targets.
* Support emotional regulation and engagement through structured, consistent approaches.
* Build positive, trusting relationships to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
* Track progress and provide clear feedback to parents, carers, and professionals.
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring both Maths and/or English.
* Experience supporting students with SEN on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
* Strong behaviour management and adaptability.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.
Desirable Qualifications
* PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience working with students with Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
* Background in alternative provision or intervention-based support.
