THE ROLE: PRIVATE CLIENT SOLICITOR

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time.
Pay: £35,000 -£40,000 per year. Salary dependent on experience and agreed hours
Expected hours: 20 38.75 per week
Schedule:
* Working days Monday to Friday
* Hours to be negotiated - subject to a minimum of three days per week.

A new opportunity has arisen for our clients based near Ware for their progressive Probate Administration Company. Due to expansion they are ideally looking for a Qualified Private Client Solicitor up to 3 yrs pqe or will consider a Private Client Legal Executive or an experienced Private Client Paralegal with relevant experience to join their friendly Wills and Probate team. (They will consider the Private Client role to be either a full or part- time position).
The successful candidate will work alongside their in-house Solicitor (and be guided where necessary), together with an established team of Administrators to develop and enhance your skills.
You will be a confident, proactive and structured individual who will be prepared to assist with various matters, to include, but not limited to, the following: -
Taking of instructions and preparation of Wills, Codicils, Deeds of Variation, Affidavits
Taking of instructions and preparation of Powers of Attorney to include registration
Administration of taxable and non-taxable estates, including the preparation of IHT400 forms and relevant schedules
Basic understanding of trusts and their tax treatment

Occasional client visits - own car essential.
Skills & Requirements : A NQ-3 YR PQE Private Client Solicitor/Legal Executive or an experienced Paralegal with knowledge of Wills, Codicils, LPAs Deeds, Affidavits, Trusts & Probate Administration.
