Job Description:
Are you a high performing planner who wants to develop with a clear path to becoming a head of planning?
You would be working with a national house builder known for building luxury homes in sought-after locations across the East Midlands.
Are you currently at another developer or a consultancy looking to move to a client who builds luxury, environmentally friendly homes?
We are seeking an ambitious planning manager with the potential to become a senior planning manager within 12 months and eventually progress to Head of Planning for a Cambridgeshire-based developer. You will play a key role as their business develops, reporting directly to the regional land director and managing director, while working autonomously on managing existing planning applications through outlined and detailed consents.
The ideal candidate will be dynamic, ambitious, and eager to succeed. The business operates in a fast-paced environment, offering significant autonomy to manage your own work.
You should be working for a planning consultancy or another property developer/house builder, with a degree and MRTPI qualification. Extensive experience dealing with planning applications and appeals in the residential property market is essential.
The salary range is £60-80k, complemented by a comprehensive package. Benefits include a flexible hybrid working arrangement.
Responsibilities:
* Leading a team of planners and supporting their development.
* Engaging with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure project alignment with strategic development goals.
* Preparing and presenting planning applications, maintaining communication with regulatory bodies.
* Assessing and resolving complex planning and zoning issues.
* Staying informed about local, regional, and national planning regulations and industry best practices.
Key Requirements:
* Degree qualified and MRTPI registered.
* Experience with a planning consultancy or residential developer/house builder, particularly in strategic land.
* Proven experience in residential planning applications and appeals.
* Bright, ambitious, and determined to succeed.
