The Role: A standout opportunity for a Banking & Finance Paralegal to join a forward-thinking and rapidly expanding team with excellent mentorship and support throughout while you progress your legal career. This highly ranked Banking & Finance team works with both lender and borrower clients, including high profile financial institutions, overseas lenders, private banks and private investors. You will be assisting the team on transactions across their London, Birmingham and Reading offices. Working on a broad spectrum of funding arrangements, from day to day banking and finance transactions to complex, cross-border international trade and investment projects. The team is often called upon to assist other teams within the firm such as; corporate and property teams in the financing aspects of their transactions. Responsibilities: Onboarding arrangements for client and preparing engagement letters; Preparing ancillary documents and forms and managing documents generally as part of the transactional process; Managing the conditions precedent process; Preparing documents for completion of transactions; Checking and proof reading documents; Supporting the Banking & Finance team to ensure outstanding service to clients. Preparing and managing payment instruction forms and invoices; and generally assisting the smooth running of the team and the flow of transactions. Requirements: Experience working within a Banking & Finance team or similar. Experience with Real Estate Finance transactions is desirable. Excellent oral and written communication skills with confidence in client-facing interactions. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a busy workload effectively. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and professionalism. IT proficient, with confident use of Microsoft Office and other digital tools. Collaborative team player able to build strong relationships across all levels. Flexible, pragmatic, and solutions-focused with a positive attitude toward change. Resilient under pressure, able to plan, prioritise, and work with commercial awareness.
