Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and proactive Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a mainstream primary school in Eastbourne. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity ideal for someone with experience supporting children with additional needs in a classroom setting.
About the Role:
You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to support pupils across KS1 and KS2 who require additional guidance to access the curriculum. This may include 1:1 support, small group interventions, or in-class assistance.
This role suits someone calm, nurturing, and ready to encourage confidence and independence in young learners.
Responsibilities:
* Support individual pupils or small groups with their learning and development
* Assist in delivering intervention programmes
* Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
* Liaise with class teachers, SEN staff, and parents as needed
* Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment
Requirements:
* Prior experience in a school or education setting is essential
* Understanding of SEN, SEMH, or additional needs is desirable
* Strong communication and team-working skills
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
