This role aims to grow Stryker's Joint Replacement business by promoting Hip and Knee products to Orthopaedic Surgeons and optimizing customer service, growing existing accounts through technical expertise.
The Product Support Specialist – Manual & Robotic provides clinical product support to end users, along with guidance and assistance during Mako surgical procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate outstanding ethics and treat customers and employees with respect, representing the company positively.
* Communicate the benefits and clinical applications of products effectively.
* Act with integrity, deliver on commitments within required timescales, and construct basic business plans in collaboration with mentors and managers.
* Develop rapport with customers, understand their needs using open questioning techniques, and utilize knowledge of key brands to identify sales opportunities.
* Understand stakeholder decision processes, ask appropriate questions, and work closely with the sales team to support business growth.
* Support and maintain existing customers to ensure satisfaction and quality, collaborating with the sales team and other departments.
* Develop strategies with customers to strengthen Stryker's market position.
* Engage in effective communication and negotiation to build profitable and sustainable relationships.
* Observe market trends, analyze the responsible area, and address customer challenges with support from the RSM/Sales Team.
* Participate in organizational meetings to discuss development and business issues, enhancing relevant knowledge and skills.
* Administer customer databases and CRM tools.
Clinical/Technical Expertise:
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of anatomy, particularly of the Lower Limb, Hips, and Knees, possibly from a Physiotherapy background. Responsibilities include:
* Providing clinical and technical support to surgeons and hospital staff before, during, and after surgeries.
* Training surgeons and hospital staff in the use of Stryker’s Mako robot, including setup, breakdown, and intra-operative activities.
* Preparing pre-operative CT scans and assisting in implant planning and sizing.
* Troubleshooting technical issues independently or escalating as necessary.
* Collaborating with the Field Service team for maintenance and technical resolutions.
* Building knowledge of Stryker implants and mastering the robot applications to become a trusted case coverage resource.
* Educating staff on the clinical benefits and best practices for robotic surgery.
* Completing required training and certifications for robotic and manual procedures.
