The purpose of the Management Accountant is to have sole responsibility for managing the day-to-day purchase ledger and assist in the preparation of month-end analysis for the Solventis Group alongside other key tasks as required. Working within a small finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. Responsibilities Accruals/prepayment schedules Maintaining fixed asset schedules Bank reconciliations Management and analysis of overheads Monthly sales reports for global commercial team Monthly product reports for product managers Quarterly carbon reporting for group Management of key suppliers Assist in maintaining correct VAT treatment Oversee the running/management of the AP ledgers Other key tasks as required to support the finance department Assist in audit planning including providing accurate, timely information and liaising with external and internal auditors to ensure deadlines are met Skills and Experience High attention to detail Ability to communicate upwards and at all levels Confident and professional manner Ability to work as part of team Well organised Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage own workload Proactive in being able to follow up on tasks Proficient in Excel and Microsoft programs Working within a finance role Accounts Payable experience SME experience Qualifications ACCA, CIMA or equivalent finalist or newly qualified Brenntag provides equal employment opportunities to qualified applicants and employees of all backgrounds and identities to create a workplace where difference is valued because it forms a resilient and more innovative organization.
