Role Overview
The Manchester City Council is seeking a Serious Violence Manager to lead a multi‑agency partnership approach to prevent and reduce serious violence in Manchester. The role involves shaping and delivering evidence‑based interventions with a strong focus on early intervention and prevention.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the shaping and delivery of evidence‑based interventions within a community safety partnership.
* Develop, review and manage a performance management framework for multi‑agency programmes of work.
* Prepare policies, strategies, reports and briefing documents in a partnership context.
Essential Qualifications
* Detailed knowledge of serious violence and experience in delivering partnership‑based responses to prevent and reduce serious violence.
* Track record in developing, reviewing and managing a performance management framework for multi‑agency programmes.
* Experience in policy preparation, including the development of strategies, reports and briefings in a partnership context.
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience working within multidisciplinary teams or partnerships to commission evidence‑based interventions.
Legal and Professional Requirements
Applicants must have an existing right to work in the UK. Police vetting through Greater Manchester Police is required. You must provide at least three years of employment references where possible.
