Job role: Mechanical Fitter Location: Gloucester Contract type: Permanent Shift: Dayshift My client is looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their expanding team. You will work out of their purpose-built facility located on the edge of Gloucester. The successful candidate will ensure assemblies are manufactured correctly to specification and on time. The role has arisen through growth and the opportunity is in place for someone to develop exiting skills and learn new ones. Key Responsibilities – Mechanical Fitter • To fit and assemble machine parts accurately to engineering drawing. • To accurately fit sub assembly parts using engineering drawings. • Use hand tools and power tools to fit and assemble components. • Use pillar drills, deburring tools and grinding wheels safely where necessary. • Use engineering measuring equipment where necessary to ensure components are to specification. • Drill and tap components when necessary. • Ensure all torque requirements are met and marked as per procedure. • Fit / pipe pneumatic and water circuits using either copper or plastic pipe work. • Strip / prepare machines and tooling for painting and despatch. • Install machines at customer sites as necessary overseas. • Ensure safe systems of work are always adhered to and ensure any issues are reported immediately to management. &...
