An exciting new opportunity has been made available for a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to join our esteemed NHS client’s dynamic team in Harrogate, Yorkshire. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short-term contract. This vacancy offers competitive rates.
What will your responsibilities be?
As a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry, you will provide high-quality psychiatric care to adult patients. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will ensure comprehensive care and support for patients. Your role will involve managing complex cases, providing specialist advice, and contributing to the development of mental health services. You will also engage with local and national networks to raise the profile of our centre and ensure all therapeutic approaches are evidence-based and effective.
Qualifications and Experiences:
* Medical degree (MD or equivalent)
* Full GMC registration with a license to practice
* Completion of Specialty Training (CCT) in Psychiatry
* Experience working in Adult Psychiatry
* Section 12 MHA approval is desirable
* Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic approaches
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
* Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
