We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of IT to lead our client's technology initiatives and drive innovation across our organization. Role Overview: As the Head of IT, you will report directly to the Global CIO and be accountable for a global portfolio of over 300 products, including 80 core applications. You will play a key role in enterprise-wide strategic planning, technology investment decisions, and operational governance, while leading a diverse team of over 100 IT and technology professionals. Key Responsibilities: - Strategic Leadership: Contribute as Head of IT to enterprise-wide strategic planning and technology investment decisions as a member of the CEOs Extended Leadership Team and Core IT Senior Leadership Team. - Financial Management: Own and govern financial cost centers for both Run and Change initiatives, ensuring budget alignment with business outcomes and strategic transformation priorities. - Team Management: Lead and manage geographically distributed teams across multiple locations, ensuring seamless collaboration and delivery across multiple time zones worldwide. - Technology Delivery: Oversee as Head of IT end-to-end technology delivery, including DevSecOps, Software & Data Engineering, Quality Engineering, and IT Risk & Controls. - Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance for regulatory audits and adherence to international standards (SOX, GDPR, Solvency II, IFRS17). - Vendor Management: Direct strategic vendor and technology partner relationships, overseeing performance and driving results through robust contractual frameworks. - Change Management: Institutionalize robust Change Management frameworks, ensuring accountability and governance across the delivery lifecycle. Qualifications: - Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, ideally as a senior IT manager or Head of IT, preferably within the insurance or reinsurance sector. - Strong understanding of enterprise applications and engineering, with a track record of managing large portfolios and leading cross-functional teams. - Experience with financial management, including budget governance and cost control. - Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to serve at the C-level. - Proficient in modern delivery methodologies, including Agile practices and hybrid work models. - Strong analytical skills, with experience in defining and rolling out operating metrics and dashboards for executive leadership.
