Operations Director

About the role
As an Operations Director, you will lead the performance and management of the assigned commercial portfolio of clients. This includes driving sustainable growth, statutory compliance, operational performance, governance, and the continual retention and development of our client base. You will work collaboratively with senior leaders to achieve company targets, develop talent, and present a seamless approach to clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop high-level customer relationships with existing and potential clients by fully understanding their requirements and demands.
* Full accountability for the overall performance of the identified accounts, ensuring all contract KPIs and SLAs are met and service payment deductions are fully mitigated.
* Work collaboratively with all portfolio contacts to manage and offer new business activity for all services across the business, ensuring this is applied to all new opportunities.
* Ensure that contracts are both technically and commercially compliant.
* Manage and drive through group upsell and cross‑sell opportunities to other divisions (Consulting, Technology, IAC).
* Manage portfolio finances to ensure delivery of financial budget and target requirements, with a grasp of risk and opportunity.
* Attend and contribute fully to monthly finance reviews with the MD CE.
* Ensure business continuity plans are in place for all contracts.
* Develop and submit, as part of the budgeting process, plans for new and existing business ensuring all contract budgets are formulated bottom‑up and are achievable.
* Develop portfolio contract sustainability plans to meet the strategic objectives of the company sustainability programme.
* Lead employees so that they have the skills and motivation to undertake their roles.
* Ensure performance reviews are undertaken on an annual basis.

Working arrangements
We embrace smarter working practices which offer our employees the opportunity to work their hours flexibly and remotely where business needs allow. In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work from our Sheffield office three times a week on a hybrid basis. Working hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm.
