Join to apply for the Manufacturing Technician – Wiring role at Thales.
Location: Glasgow, United Kingdom.
Role: FTC (18 months) and Permanent.
Hours: 4 day week Monday–Thursday / 37 hours per week. Start time flexible between 6:00 am and 7:30 am, with 30 minutes unpaid lunch. Free on‑site parking and a canteen are provided.
What you’ll do:
* Ensure all incidents are logged correctly and escalated to H&S leaders as appropriate.
* Escalate Health and safety issues to the Work Cell Manager.
* Perform complex manufacturing operations in accordance with engineering drawings and quality standards.
* Adhere to defined company processes when carrying out all tasks.
* Perform self‑assessment and approval of products.
* Support continuous improvement actions within Industry.
* Detect faults or non‑compliance, raise alerts, and contribute to diagnostics and root cause analysis.
* Manage and record build configuration of product.
* Use company tools (ERP, Palma, etc.) during product assembly tasks.
What you’ll need:
* Experience in wiring and building electrical assemblies.
* Ability to perform complex electrical operations involving wiring and component soldering to IPC standards.
* Capacity to interpret drawings and wiring diagrams.
* Eligible to obtain full SC clearance.
