JOB TITLE: Maintenance Engineer
REPORTING TO: Maintenance Supervisor
JOB PURPOSE: To provide an effective & efficient maintenance service by completing breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance of plant, equipment and facility improvements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Undertake mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs of faulty production equipment to a high standard.
* Complete preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with the schedule across the site.
* Respond to breakdowns and complete repairs as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor in a timely manner, taking account of production planners.
* Assist with completing periodic inspections of equipment to identify defects.
* Keep the Maintenance Supervisor informed of any arising issues with completing repairs or materials/parts required.
* Communicate with production supervisors & keep them updated on progress of maintenance jobs.
* Liaise with purchasing department to accurately source required parts or equipment.
* Work in accordance with relevant risk assessments and safe systems of work, as per Health & Safety training and instruction.
* Report any concerns regarding employee's use of plant and equipment.
* Advise the Maintenance Supervisor of any delays with repairs that may require additional production downtime.
* Ensure all necessary servicing and maintenance records are maintained as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
* Undertake servicing of company forklifts and vehicles as necessary.
* Co-operate with contractors working on site to install new equipment or undertake improvements.
* Any other duties, within reason and capability, as agreed with the Maintenance Supervisor and General Manager.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
* Qualifications & Experience: Previous experience ofmechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs. Any experience or certification in electrical fault finding and installations would be advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £16.00-£19.00 per hour
