Advanced Clinical Practitioner – Fleetwood Urgent Treatment Centre
Pay: £27.49 – £30.63 per hour (pending pay lift). Hours: 30 per week. Start: immediate. Closing date: 16th November 2025.
Responsibilities
* Provide advanced clinical care for patients with minor injury and illness, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, referral and discharge within agreed parameters.
* Practice autonomously as an independent practitioner, including telephone triage and remote prescribing where appropriate.
* Lead improvement to standards of care through supervision, audit, evidence‑based practice, teaching and professional leadership.
* Contribute to the Clinical Governance agenda, including audit and research as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Act in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and local policies.
* Maintain a professional portfolio and CPD to demonstrate competency in line with the NMC framework.
* Support the management team to meet service KPIs and targets, identifying and implementing improvements.
* Support the urgent care centre’s team during evenings and weekends as required.
Qualifications & Experience
* Registered Practitioner (NMC/HCPC) with an Advanced Practice qualification or equivalent.
* Experience as an unsupervised practitioner in an urgent or primary care setting.
* Proficiency in telephone triage, remote prescribing and non‑invasive procedures.
* Evidence of teaching, mentorship and CPD portfolio.
* Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
* Experience of audit, research and improvement initiatives within unscheduled care.
* Knowledge of national guidelines and local policies, including NHS and NICE guidance.
* Personal commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
