We're looking for someone who has Detailed knowledge of apprenticeship legislation, processes, and safeguarding The ability to manage, interpret and maintain complicated accurate data in line with Trust procedures Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and build strong internal/external relationships Demonstrated experience in apprenticeships or early careers roles Robust organisational skills and attention to detail The ability to work on own initiative, making complex and robust decisions and as part of a team Worked in a solution focused environment and as a result confident to challenge, question and implement resolutions. Advanced IT skills including, Excel and PowerPoint Apprenticeship & Early Careers Co-ordinatorThe role is varied, and no two days are ever the same. You’ll be part of the Apprenticeship team based in Swindon, and you’ll also support wider apprenticeship activity across the Trust. You’ll connect and collaborate with the Apprenticeship team both in-person, online and through telephone calls. This role will occasionally involve travel and overnight stays. Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office every Tuesday. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.Working with the Early Careers and Apprenticeships team, you’ll manage training providers, support apprentice recruitment, oversee communications, handle data, and resolve complex queries as a key contact for stakeholders. Delivering excellent customer service, you’ll respond confidently and act as a trusted source of information while maintaining confidentiality. You’ll manage restricted budgets, ensuring compliance, reviewing fund requests, monitoring balances, and resolving payment issues. Coordinating programme activity, you’ll support all stages from recruitment to completion, drive improvements, and work with stakeholders to address challenges and keep the programme industry-leading. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting and developing our apprenticeship programmes - working closely with Apprentices, Line Managers, Mentors and our network of Training Providers. In 2022 the National Trust received a generous donation from the Vinehill Trust to recruit and train apprentices in heritage building crafts. This role specifically supports the delivery of this important programme. Reporting to the Project Manager and working closely with regional teams, you’ll offer first-class support and pastoral care, ensuring each apprentice has a fulfilling and positive experience and is ready to take their skills into the world of heritage.
