Orchard Professional Solutions Ltd are working with an established concrete block manufacturer who are looking for an Operational Excellence Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be assist in the development, implementation and sustainability of manufacturing capability methods across the manufacturing process; including improvements, problem solving, re-engineering and delivering capital investments.

Role Responsibilities:
* Contribute and support the developed and implementation of best practice manufacturing visions, strategies, processes and procedures which aim to aid and improve operational performances
* Identify improvement opportunities in line with industry best practices
* Develop manufacturing capability and technology to ensure products delivered meet product specifications and customer expectations
* Active involvement on the Maintenance Excellence Program of plant and equipment to improve asset performance
* Assist in the Failure Mode Effect Analysis Program and ensure accurate upkeep and deployment at all times
* Support and drive process improvements on OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
* Data analysis and problem-solving techniques with Root Cause established
* Follow and implement HSE policies and procedures
* Work as part of the Operational Excellent Team to share ideas and improve operations to optimise and improve machine efficiency and reduce breakdowns
* Stay up to date with current technical knowledge to enable effective solutions
About you:
* Hold HND or equivalent qualification
* Proven experience of working in a Manufacturing Engineer role
* Or hold a Foundation degree with some practical, industry experience
* Experience of working in a maintenance and / or engineering role
* Lead Six Sigma Green Belt in process improvement methodologies
* Knowledge of relevant Engineering & Manufacturing standards and HSE regulations
* Strong data analytical skills
* Experience in the use of problem-solving tools and techniques
