Responsibilities include requirements gathering, data profiling, documentation, and deployment. The BA collaborates with internal and client teams to ensure project success, participating in discovery and design sessions and translating architecture into solution components like data models and reports. Practical experience with SQL and data warehouses is essential. This role involves Data Governance, Data Quality, MDM, Business Intelligence, Cloud, Big Data, Data Modeling, and Project Management. As part of your duties, you will be responsible for: Collects business and technical requirements via interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, and workflow analysis. Documents business and technical specs, ensuring updates remain relevant. Defines sources for data warehouse attributes and maps them, including necessary transformation algorithms. Generates documentation for business processes (As Is – To Be), functional and technical specs, and use cases. Identifies opportunities to streamline or improve existing data management processes. Performs gap analysis of policies, processes, and capabilities against frameworks or target states. Assists with roadmap creation, incorporating prioritization, dependency analysis, and resourcing. Develops data dictionaries, source-to-target mappings, and a business glossary in collaboration with Data SMEs and stakeholders. Creates business rules for data acquisition, integration, and quality monitoring. Gathers and documents reports, analyses, and data access requirements. Assesses and documents the structure, quality, and conformance of source data. Initiates analysis to identify and resolve data inconsistencies, improving data integrity. Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends in data and recommends business and process improvements. Collaborates with team members, leadership, and clients on status, risks, issues, and decisions. Supports tech lead and developers with business and data inquiries. Collaborates with Project Managers and engages in project planning. Conducts feasibility analysis, scopes projects, and assists in prioritizing deliverables. Serves as the bridge between business units, technology, and support teams. Generates reports to aid stakeholders and project teams as needed. Qualifications and experience we consider to be essential for the role: 7 years of experience in Analyst role 5 years of consulting experience strongly preferred 3 years of experience leading offshore teams Practical experience in at least 2 of the following areas: Data Integration/Movement Business Intelligence Data Quality Cloud Platforms Master Data Management Big Data Data Governance Business and Data Analysis Data Modelling Extensive experience in identifying and documenting business requirements in a data management environment, including use of joint application design facilitation or other requirements gathering techniques Experience working with business and IT functions in a variety of corporate cultures, as both an employee and consultant, is preferred Experience mapping processes and identifying improvement opportunities Experienced working in centralized and federated corporate structures Experienced working with multiple levels of client personnel to gather information, validate analysis, and make recommendations Experience developing business case for recommendations Knowledge of investment banking trade/risk domain would be preferred.
