Our commissioning function works across a wide range of service areas, collaborating with residents, providers and internal and external partners to design and secure services that deliver high quality, value for money and improved outcomes.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and support commissioning projects across any service area as required, including older people, lifelong and enablement and independence services
* Use data, performance insight and market intelligence to prepare complex reports and shape commissioning decisions
* Undertake contract management, due diligence, review quality and performance, and support service improvements and market development
* Travel across the county to visit services and meet stakeholders
About you
* Strong analytic skills, including the ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data, insights and information to identify trends and translate findings into meaningful recommendations
* Excellent literacy, numeracy, IT skills, problem solving and critical thinking abilities
* The ability to plan, deliver and review effectiveness in a structured and collaborative way
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build effective relationships across complex organisations
* An understanding of working within the public sector (or a strong appetite to develop this), along with an appreciation of the role that commissioning plays in achieving positive outcomes for residents
* A degree, professional qualification or equivalent experience that demonstrates your ability to operate at this level
* A willingness and ability to travel across the county
About the job
* Salary: NJC Grade 10 £39,862 to £42,839
* Working Pattern: Full Time (37 hours Monday – Friday)
* Contract Length: Permanent
* Location: Hybrid working - Office base is Chichester; role requires regular travel across the county
