The Trafford & Stockport College Group (TSCG) has an opportunity for an experienced teacher of GCSE English Language to join the English and Maths team to help us achieve our vision of unlocking potential for successful futures.
GCSE English is at the core of Study Programmes for 16-18 learners across the Group, providing learners who are yet to achieve a Grade 4 with the opportunity to improve their English skills and GCSE Grade in order to progress in their education and employment.
The Role
Working as part of our highly experienced GCSE English team, you will benefit from and contribute to our ongoing commitment to delivering excellence in all aspects of teaching, learning and assessment in your specialist subject. Engaging learners in English and helping them to overcome barriers which they may have faced in the past is at the heart of what we do at TSCG, making English relevant, practical and enjoyable with a commitment to securing positive outcomes for all those we teach.
This role will require you to deliver high quality, learner‑focused education providing a quality learning experience for our students. You will be required to help develop the curriculum and implement teaching and learning strategies that enable our students to succeed and thrive in their chosen subject area.

Candidates with recent experience of teaching post‑16 GCSE or Secondary GCSE English would be ideally suited to this role. An English degree is not essential, however clear evidence of English subject specialism in related disciplines would be required. This role would be suitable for both Newly Qualified Teachers or experienced practitioners.
