Permanent Role as a Material Handler
About the role
You're an innovative thinker, passionate about the planet and eager to play a role in creating sustainable packaging that keeps the world healthy, fed and working. You'll be supporting the company by minimizing material wastage on shift, to ensure regrind issued is used, to collect data on waste & identify waste causes.
You will report to the Production Manager and the working hours are dependent on department.
Shifts will consist of 3 week rotating shift (6am-2pm, 2pm- 10pm, 10pm-6am)
Key Job Accountabilities
As part of the Production Team you'll be responsible for…
· Check all machines to ensure regrind is being used.
* Checking on doser settings
* Checking that loaders are sucking
* Checking that materials are transferring from bin to machines.
· Monitor machines that are due to end during in the next 16 hours & increase regrind settings as required to use the materials issued, ensuring you liaise with Supervisors & technicians when making any changes.
· Monitor machines that are due to end during in the next 36 hours & allocate a small grinder where appropriate.
· Monitor PETG regrind driers.
· Monitor the white boards to ensure regrind is put on as soon as it is available.
· Clean hopper loader filters on units that have become blocked.
· Print a balance report & check the schedule to identify machines that are on last box & turn off dosers to save material.
· Check all waste going to skips & recycle.
· Investigate all material being sent to recycle & redirect operators to place it onto lanes where possible
