Grade: Teachers Main Pay / UPR Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full Time Working Pattern: All Year Round Actual Salary: 31,650 - 49,084 TLR2A 3,391 Interview Date: TBC Reception Class Teacher and Foundation Stage & Key Stage One Leader (TLR 2A) Full Time (MondayFriday) Salary: Main/Upper Pay Scale TLR 2A Contract Type: Permanent The Headteacher and Governors are seeking to appoint an outstanding Reception Class Teacher and inspirational Foundation Stage & KS1 leader to join our happy, inclusive, and supportive school community. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher to play a pivotal role in leading our EYFS and KS1 provision and to take responsibility for English across the whole school. We are looking for an individual who: Is an excellent classroom practitioner with a proven track record of high-quality teaching in the Early Years and/or KS1. Has a deep understanding of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum, including assessment, progression, and transition. Can lead, motivate, and inspire colleagues to deliver high standards of teaching and learning. Demonstrates strategic thinking and strong leadership skills to drive improvement and sustain excellence across EYFS and KS1. Has a passion for English and early reading, with a thorough knowledge of phonics and effective approaches to developing reading and writing. Is able to monitor, evaluate, and enhance provision and pupil outcomes, using data and evidence to inform practice. Is committed to fostering an inclusive, nurturing environment where every child can achieve their full potential. Is an effective communicator, able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and Governors. Is enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to professional growth. In this role, you will : In consultation with SLT, develop and implement policies/practices for the EYFS in line with our school s commitment to high-quality teaching and learning. Have a good understanding of how well the EYFS curriculum is being delivered and oversee the planning of a well-sequenced curriculum that promotes pupil progress towards the early learning goals and links seamlessly with the KS1 curriculum. Ensure that pupils in Early Years are prepared for their next phase of their education. Be responsible for transition arrangements and develop practices in KS1 that support a smooth transition for pupils to build upon the quality provision in Foundation Stage, thus allowing them to access the National Curriculum requirements. Work with subject leaders to understand how their subject is developed in the EYFS. Share outstanding EYFS/KS1 practice, knowledge, and expertise throughout the school as appropriate. Have an overarching responsibility for pupils achievement and standards in the EYFS and KS1 to promote attainment including that of specific groups. To have a strategic overview of our early reading phonics programme. Provide support and coaching for members of staff to develop best practice, monitor and promote pupil progress, liaise with SLT to ensure appropriate resourcing. To lead English throughout the school. This will include monitoring the standard of reading and writing. Keep abreast of new developments to ensure best practice. Be a line manager for staff in Foundation Stage and KS1 (4 classes in total). Act as a role model and provide support and coaching. Be a point of contact for day-to-day arrangements. To attend meetings with SLT when required. Require excellent organisational skills.
