Nightshift Cheese Maker
Graham's the Family Dairy are seeking to appoint a permanent Cheesemaker at our site in Cowdenbeath, working nightshift 5 days over 7, 40 hours per week.
Role
You will operate a variety of plant and equipment in accordance with Company Policy and Procedures to manufacture cottage cheese, quark, cream cheese and other soft cheeses. You will be responsible for carrying out routine quality assurance checks to ensure product is within specification. In addition, you will complete various start up and ongoing plant and equipment checks.
Key responsibilities
* Assist with the accurate and timely completion of production logs sheets
* Regular communication with unit 2 process operators with regards to tank filling
* The testing of products in accordance with work instructions
* Take samples to the lab that Technical require for further testing
Skills & Experience
While previous experience in a production role within the food industry is desirable, full training will be provided. Key attributes include:
* Strong attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Manual dexterity
The successful candidate will also have basic food hygiene and will have the ability to work on your own initiative.
Starting Rate: £13.30 per hour + £20 per week attendance bonus
Fully Trained £15.30 per hour + £20 per week attendance bonus
