Job Description
Royal Star & Garter (RSG) is partnering with the Royal British Legion (RBL) and the Veterans Covenant Healthcare Alliance (VCHA) to implement a Veteran Friendly Framework (VFF) for residential care and nursing homes across England. With over 25,000 veterans and their partners in care homes lacking a military focus, the VFF aims to enhance their wellbeing, social connections, and quality of life.
You will support care home providers nationwide to deliver best practices supporting veterans and their partners, ensuring access to appropriate services.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver the VFF project plan, milestones, and report on performance indicators and targets.
2. Ensure high standards of work, timely delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness of the programme.
3. Identify and engage care homes and providers with the VFF programme.
4. Maintain contact databases and serve as a point of contact for inquiries, providing guidance, support, and training.
5. Share best practices across the programme.
6. Coordinate Armed Forces awareness events in care homes, including speakers and presentations.
7. Build relationships with local/regional statutory services for the Armed Forces community.
8. Support the Programme Lead in delivering and evaluating the programme, including attending meetings and taking notes.
9. Perform any other reasonable management requests.

Working Pattern
Full-time (35 hours/week), with flexibility to compress over 4.5 days. The role is home-based but requires flexible location and occasional evening/weekend work.
