Overview
A bubbly personal assistant is required to support a happy 16-year-old girl living in the Launceston area. She has epilepsy, autism and a chromosome disorder skarban-deirboff, and would like someone who she can build up a positive relationship with and provide her with some support. She would like someone to support her with her communication. She loves arts and crafts, messy play, music and make up. She enjoys watching Thomas the Tank Engine, dinosaur programmes and playing with associated toys. A personal assistant will enable her to enjoy activities at home, in her local community and with her family.
Up to 8 hours per week are available, and this is flexible. Some weekend and school holiday availability will be required. A car driver is essential due to rural location. The rate of pay is £12.60 per hour.
Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people is essential. A full driving licence is desirable.

The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family, and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
